City & Guilds 2393-10 Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings at The Builder Training Centre is a one day course suitable for those working in the building trades and others who require a working knowledge of how electrical installations in dwellings can affect the building construction. It is suitable for practising electricians, operating in the domestic environment, who wish to gain an understanding of how electrical installations in dwellings must comply with all relevant Building Regulations. It is for those who are looking to apply to join a Competent Persons Scheme with one of the main bodies, such as the NICEIC, ELECSA, NAPIT, in order to carry out electrical work in a domestic environment. The qualification is based upon the Building Regulations for England and Wales.

Methods of compliance with the six parts of the Building Regulations most relevant to electrical installations in dwellings.
Preparation for a 40 minute, multiple choice, open book, computer based exam (20 questions).

Students will be provided with a Self-Study Pack upon booking.
You should have the ability to safely install and test standard domestic circuits, such as radial circuits, showers, cookers, lights etc, and ring final circuits. You will not be required to demonstrate practical ability on the 1 day course but this will be required when applying for the Competent Persons Scheme with one of the main bodies such as NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA.

We have facilities for men and women! You will find our prices are competitive, and include the use of materials for your Building Regulations Course whilst you are here, but for health and safety reasons you are required to have steel toe capped footwear to wear throughout the course. These can be purchased from our reception on your first morning for £20 if required.
