Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018 (2382-22)) Update
This 1 day City & Guilds 18th Edition Update Course (2nd Amendment) at The Builder Training Centre is aimed at practicing electricians who have already achieved the 2382-18 qualification but need to either update their knowledge on the 2nd Amendment, or to upgrade to the 2382-22 qualification. This course can be attended on its own, or for an additional cost, you can also sit the 2382-22 exam, which is a nationally recognised minimum qualification for most companies looking to recruit electrical personnel. On completion of the Update Course you will receive a CPD Certificate of Completion and Attendance, or if attending the Update Course and 2382-22 Online Exam, you will be awarded the City & Guilds 2382-22 qualification certificate on successful completion (over 98% of our students pass first time).

The Builder Training Centre (The BTC) offers a high quality structured 1 day 2382-22 18th Edition Update Course which can be attended on a scheduled day during the week or at the weekend.
This 1 day City & Guilds 18th Edition 2382-22 electrical course is intended to ensure that all students that currently hold the 2382-18 qualification are fully conversant with the latest IET Wiring Regulations, as recognised by the British Standards Institute, BS 7671, concerning the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems.
City & Guilds 18th Edition 2382-22 Course Content:
BS 7671: 2018+A2: 2022 incorporates changes from the 1st amendment, published in 2020, regarding electric vehicle charging installations to provide greater guidance on embracing changing technology within this sector. Other changes within the 2nd Amendment include protection against thermal effects and fire caused by electrical equipment, protection against voltage disturbances and electromagnetic disturbances, and a new chapter on prosumers’ low-voltage electrical installations covering energy efficiency measures, interface with the smart grid, management of electricity consumption, management of renewable sources of electricity, and energy storage.

For health and safety reasons you are required to have steel toe capped footwear to wear throughout the course. These can be purchased from our reception on your first morning for £20 if required.
