To administer your booking/s and enquiries as effectively as possible, there is information that is requested from you. This may be provided via our online contact/application form and health and safety form, for example. If you contact us, we may also keep a record of that correspondence. Controlling your personal information
When filling out our application form, you may opt out of receiving details of other courses, products and offers that we provide by ticking the relevant box. On the other hand, if you decide to opt into receiving these details, you can opt out at any time by emailing info@thebtc.co.uk using the title ‘unsubscribe’.
Where we store your personal data
We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Where you have signed up for a qualification course, we may disclose your personal data to City & Guilds and/or EAL for the purposes of learning, assessment and certification. If you are booking a course on behalf of someone else, you must obtain that person’s consent prior to providing his/her personal information to us.
Where you have consented to receiving ongoing details of information, products or services provided by The BTC, we generally use the services of Brevo. Details of how Brevo process your data, which includes your name and email address, can be found at www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/. You can opt out of receiving emails at any time.
We will not disclose or share your personal data with any other third parties, unless we have your permission or are required by law.
Your rights
Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from other websites, for example, accrediting bodies. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
Access to information
Under data protection law, you can ask if our organisation holds personal information about you and we must respond to your request within one month. Any access request, provided in a structured commonly used and machine-readable format, would not incur a charge.
