Domestic Installers Package

The BTC Electrical Domestic Installers Package will equip students with limited or no experience with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to advance to Diploma and NVQ qualification courses. These courses will also offer essential skills for candidates aspiring to undertake ‘minor works’ or those presently in maintenance-type roles.

15 weekdays, or 7 weekends (Sat & Sun)
Can be attended over 15 week days or 7 weekends (please note the 18th Edition will be over an extended weekend such as a Friday – Sunday)

Total cost: £1,810.00 inc vat and registration fees

1. Electrical Foundation (4-days)

This 4 day Introductory Electrical Training Course is a very practical and ‘hands-on’ course, and is ideal for beginners looking to learn electrics for DIY or handyman skills, experienced people looking to extend their trade skills or perfect their electrical skills, or those looking for a new career as a Domestic Installer or Electrician.

2. Domestic INstallers (inc C&G 2393)

This 4 day course is suitable for those who carry out electrical work in association with or for their main work activity under the scope of Part P. The aim is to be able to achieve the understanding of the building regulations and to be able to demonstrate this knowledge in practice.

18th Edition Course

3. 18th Edition (C&G 2382-22)

This ‘new’ 3 day Level 3 electrical qualification went live on 28th March 2022 (includes 2nd Amendment) and is to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulations on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. This qualification is essential for all practicing Electricians and Domestic Installers.

4. Level 2 Inspection & Testing (C&G 2392)

This 4 day Level 2 inspection & testing qualification gives you the necessary skills and confidence to inspect and test fundamental installations and conduct initial verification. This course is ideal for those looking to progress onto the Level 3 inspection & testing (2391 or 2625) or for those looking to continue onto the Level 2 & 3 Diploma courses.

IET Books are required for qualification courses as they contain open-book exams. Please view the relevant content pages for further details. Safety boots are also required to be worn on all our courses. They can be purchased for £20.00 from The BTC, if required.
