Overview
The Builder Training Centre (The BTC) offers high-quality structured Washing Machine Repair & Servicing Courses, which can be attended as a 2 day course during the week (Various weekdays).
Our instructors are qualified, highly experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Tradespersons, so students can take advantage of all the tips of the trade, personal experiences and advice they offer.
This short course is intensive, but the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable which creates a good learning environment. It is advantageous, but not essential, that students have a basic understanding of electrics and mechanics.
All reference documentation that covers these subjects is included in the course. Once completed, you will have a set of transferable skills that you can use on your own appliances, and your clients’ appliances, or demonstrate competencies to a future employer if you want to pursue a career in the White Goods Industry.
This course would be beneficial to companies that cover property maintenance and would like to include White Goods.
From the 1st July 2021, new legislation was introduced giving consumers and third party companies easier access to repair their products and gain technical information. The primary aim of the legislation being to extend the life cycle of a range of devices and appliances by up to 10 years.
Manufacturers will now have to make spare parts available for washing machines, washer-dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and TVs for the first time. Repairs also need to be possible using everyday tools. At present, cookers, hobs, tumble dryers, microwaves or tech e.g. laptops and smartphones are not covered.
Approximately 70% of call outs for home domestic appliance repairs are for washing machines.
